Might as well open alotta canned foods and pick the poor things off one by one , starting with kittens ! Sadistic ,to gather and destroy them...you spay neuter release the colony dies out usually in about 6-7 years , feral cats life in the wild is half an indoor domesticated cat.

Yes however there is protection for feral colonies. Capture, sterilize and return is the accepted practice. If the colony has a human(s) caring for it, the life will control the natural progression. And yes, they have a shorter life span compared to a house cat. But they have a longer life span compared to a house cat that is allowed to roam outside. Feral cats want nothing to do with humans. stray or pet house cats that roam face, cars, dogs, asshole humans and predator birds. Rodents with diseases etc. if you companion is a cat, don't let them roam.
